| The most tranquil and magical setting ever, just perfect for those sundowners while you stare gloriously across Camps Bay. What an unforgetable view as the name so aptly implies. We have very fond memories of our visits to Aview, the hospitality, the views , the sunsets, absolutely magnificient. There are really not enough words to describe how awesome Aview really is. It is lovely and central to all the attractions that Cape Town has to offer including the Waterfront and loads of lovely restaurants.
I would definately recommend this little piece of heaven anytime. It is the perfect place and everything at your fingertips! |

| My family and I visited Cape Town for my daughter's Cape Town destination wedding which coincided with the World Cup. We arrived in Cape Town at 2100 hours and when we arrived at A View, Duncan was waiting and showed us a stocked refrigerator. He was gracious, warm and charming. But my one complaint with him is that he did not adequately warn us about the dilemma that A View poses. The front rooms and patios present a spectacular, breathtaking panoramic view of Camps Bay which competes with the back rooms and patio which have an equally stunning view of Table Mountain. Imagine a villa with Monterey Peninsula (California) on one side and the high desert country of Santa Fe, New Mexico on the other. I could talk about the outdoor heated pool or the outdoor hot tub but the problem is we didn't have time to use them. A View is strategically located so our days were filled with horseback riding, shark diving, wine tastings, fine restaurants at nighttime and soaking up as much of Cape Town as possible. We did host a dinner party for twenty people at A View. The villa is so spacious and appointed with with everything that makes entertaining a breeze from the game room (billiards) to the four stunning patios and a large fireplace for intimate conversations. Our only mistake was not extending our time. Duncan and Jillian, you have a spectacular villa! Anyone going to Cape Town, especially Americans would be well advised to stay here as opposed to the hotel scene. |
