Down on the main street of Napier you'll find an extraordinary array of shops, pubs, restaurants, galleries, arts and craft shops, museums and items of historical interest considering the size of the village. It is alive: vibrant and friendly. And if you were to draw a circle on a map of the Overberg, with Napier at the centre and the radius an hour's drive, you would be amazed at how much there is to see and do. Day trips abound; the roads are quiet and before you know it you're at your destination, whether it be the southernmost point of Africa or the mountains; wine tasting, cheese making, whale watching, great white shark cage diving; or just simply a picnic at De Mond nature reserve. But that, we would hope, would be after you've worked your way through everything of interest in Napier itself . . .
