Hoopoe Haven Lodge sits on two acres of astonishing landscape in the beautiful countryside of Johannesburg. With local Horse trails and breath taking views of the Magaliesburg mountain range, this little countryside escape is the perfect place to relax and unwind.
Have a braai on the patio or a couple of sundowners by the pool, while watching the wonderful bird life that give this eden its name.
Savour an evening under the African starlit sky, hear the lions roar from the neighboring lion park or take a book to bed and doze off to the sounds of nature.

Hoopoe Haven Lodge is a brand new thatched house with quality finishings which include sandstone tiles, granite counter tops, cherrywood cupboards and comfortable furniture.
Guests have access to all the facilities on the premises including an upstairs braai and patio area, pool and snooker entertainment area, luxury lounge, internet access, DSTV and a lovely swimming pool to cool off in.

Choose from a variety of accommodation options such as self catering or bed and breakfast in the guest lodge from group bookings of up to 29 guests to single bookings for the business executive.

The lodge is very secure with electric fences, panic alarms in every unit, automatic electronic gates.

Hoopoe Haven Lodge is proud to introduce two new self catering cottages called, Bokmakerie and piet-my-vrou 6 sleeper cottages, set in the brand new landscaped garden on the lodge complex.
These new additions are 2 back to back cottages in one stylish thatch building. Sleeping up to 6 guests, 
they can be let out either individually or combined, as there is an inter leading door between the two cottages.


Each cottage sleeps up to 6 people, with an upstairs and a down stairs, a large bathroom with separate toilet, open plan lounge come dining area and a fully fitted kitchen. A DVD player and satellite TV will ensure you never miss your favorite shows.

The guinea fowl self catering cottage at Hoopoe Haven Lodge is a beautiful thatched cottage consisting of

 an downstairs and an upstairs with the following, a double bedroom(2 single beds or 1 king size bed), an open plan dining room 
and lounge with satellite TV and DVD player (the 6th bed will be here), bathroom with bath and shower and a fully equipped kitchen.
Upstairs in the loft 
Sleeps 2 or 3 single beds.



The Dove Garden cottage at the Hoopoe Haven Lodge is the prefect family accommodation. This lovely self catering cottage has large double room with an en-suite bathroom and queen size bed (or two single beds), two large gum pole bunk beds suitable for children, a dining area, lounge with DSTV and DVD player and a fully fitted kitchen. As well as its own garden and braai spot, its no wonder that the Dove Garden cottage is ideal for a family getaway.

As well as having self catering units the Hoopoe Haven Lodge offers guest the option to stay in one of the five wonderful B&B rooms which offer visitors a little more pampering
We have 3 luxury en-suite double rooms (the fish eagle (with a spa bath) and hoopoe rooms can accommodate up to 3 guests), the martial eagle luxury en-suite room has a queen bed. For the cheaper accommodation we also have the kingfisher double room and the masked weaver single room which have a private bathroom (not en-suite).
Under specials can we please mention that we specialize in group bookings whereby you book the entire lodge on a self-catering basis (sleeps up to 11) or back-to-back cottages (sleeps 12) or a combination of cottages and lodge maximum capacity 29 guests. This is ideal for large groups who want their own privacy.

Hoopoe Haven Lodge is proud to announce, after a recent inspection by the tourism grading council, and all the work that has been put in over the past year, Hoopoe Haven has been upgraded from an AA recommended site to an AA Highly Recommended site.
