La Colombe is one of South Africa’s most internationally acclaimed fine dining establishments, located on Silvermist organic wine estate at the top of Constantia Nek, with unforgettable views overlooking the Constantia wine valley, False Bay and Hout Bay.
The winter menu this year includes another amazing showing by Chef Proprietor Scot Kirton’s team.
There are numerous combinations but the one that appealed to us is this six-course spectacular with sourdough, spiced pork lard, salsa verde then tuna ‘la colombe’ followed by Kerala spiced chicken, Mozambique prawn, snoek dressing, coriander and sweet potato.
Next is the lemongrass, ginger and watermelon Kalamansi than a porcini risotto, marinated buratta, salsa verde with winter vegetables and for dessert boerenkaas, peach, Foie Gras and bourbon and pecan nut.
All of this topped off with Petit Fours, yum!
