Imhoff Farm

October 27, 2016

This is one for the family, and definitely one to tie in with the inevitable visit to The Cape Point Nature Reserve. Imhoff farm is tucked into Kommetjie, a suburb adjacent to the culturally rich seaside town of Kalk Bay, with it’s own immense stretch of beautiful beach. Imhoff Farm offers great food, face-painting, camel rides, a reptile park and plenty of room to stretch your legs. The deli has a large and genuine array of classic cape farm fare, organic foods and produce. There is no end to the amount of activities available, from a 3D interactive maze and a paintball course, to an artisanal chocolatier and a book shop. It’s best to set aside an afternoon to properly experience this beautiful corner of the world, so you can enjoy a stroll through the art gallery and one of 2 restaurants or the coffee shop, then nipping past the petting zoo with the kids.

Staying in the vein of cultural and creative experiences, here’s one for the kids. Walk in, grab a blank canvas (12 different sizes available), and use any of the non-toxic acrylic paints, brushes and other tools of expression. Assistance is available in the form of qualified artists, also, you will have to experience the Splash Zone, and it’s as fun as it sounds.
