In terms of pedigree, this is one of the tea rooms in cape town that certainly has the benefit of a long history, having first opened in 1924. While the tea room is beautiful, the garden is spectacular, grab your stuff to go and they will pack it into a basket for you to take and enjoy under a tree of your choosing.
Can highly recommend the English Tea for Two, with two teas, filter coffee, fruit juices or carbonated drinks and any sandwich of your choice from the picnic list (we had the spicy chicken mayonnaise). This comes packed with two mini spinach and feta quiches, home-made scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream and finally one piece of cake – cut into 2.
Either way, order from the menu or mix it up and make it yours, the food is delicious, and the scenery is incomparable.
Reliance are a company that not only incorporate several companies and products but also are massively socially involved at a community level with large scale CSI initiatives that you can read all about on their website. Aside from that, they also make a mean cup of tea 😊
In Tea at the park, you can expect to find the perfect cup set in the beautiful slice of paradise that is the Green Point urban park. This is a perfect location to take your kids for a Sunday treat after allowing them to let off some steam on one of the many playgrounds, activities or fields.
You can enjoy a little nibble yourself, the carrot cake with poppy and cream cheese icing is as tasty as it’s instagrammable.
Step through the looking glass and follow the rabbit into this Wonderland under the trees. With thoughtful, exciting and exuberant outdoor décor, this stunning venue in Paarl is an ideal place to stimulate the imagination and conversation.
The place is entirely child friendly with playground and toys galore, as well as including an amazing little bric-a-brac store with authentic vintage teacups, teapots, coffee sets, cutlery and old table linen for sale.
Their menu is largely organic and filled with yummy staples including sandwiches and wraps (Heavenly ham with pesto, lettuce and tomato was our best), great desserts and of course, plenty of tea.
The views are idyllic, and the setting is magical, a must-see.
