Interior and exterior design photography are an essential part of architectural photography.
This has been a passion of mine, since trips to Italy, photographing homes and villas near Florence, Pisa and Siena. More recently I have worked on properties designed by Arthur Quinton and Stefan Antoni amongst other South African specalists.
Whether I am photographing modern architecture - properties, homes, villas, hotels or office buildings, it is attention to detail in the exterior designs as well as the interior designs. Artwork and sculpture, furnishings and living areas, all make for a lifestyle and living experience.
Several years working with international chefs like Gary Rhodes and Antony Worrall Thompson in the UK has given me a good grounding in food photography. This is not as glamourous as it sounds as the food is often prepared to last under the lights, so is not always as edible as it looks!
Whether the food is shot in controlled studio setups, or on location with lighting, hamish NIVEN photography can supply you with some excellent mouth watering photography.
Shots with the slimmest depth of field, concentrating on tiny parts of food, to setup shots mimicking what the fortunate person would be eating from their table. Even photos showing some of the ambience and location of the food if in a luxurious restaurant.

| Firstly all I can say is bravo, I think you are the best photographer I have ever come across and will use you in future!! I hate to sound crude but I nearly had an orgasm looking at all the shots.

| What a pleasure to deal with a photographer who not only understands the balance of light and medium but also knows how to work to a deadline. I would recommend Hamish Niven to all my friends... and have done so on several occasions. |
